That was a rainy day and the rain was quite heavy. In spite of the rain, we started trekking in the Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary by 10:00 am. The umbrellas and raincoats were inadequate to  offer any protection from heavy rain which was accompanied by strong wind. All children and their parents got wet. The initial discomfort passed as they started fun games in streams on the way and all started enjoying the monsoon down-pour.

Wayanad / Tholpetty, Kabini River, Nagarhole National Park_08-MAY-2015

Wayanad / Tholpetty, Kabini River, Nagarhole National Park, Trip Organized by TREE Club at 08th to 11th May 2015

We started our Journey early morning at  05:15 am from Trivandrum and we reached alleppey  at  08:00 am for Breakfast , we had delicious food from Kuttanadu Restaurant and we reached Wayanad, Tholpetty  SAJ Home Stay around 08:30pm and had dinner. SAJ Home Stay treated us with homely food.

2nd day we started our Journey at 05:00 am  to Kabini . During our drive we took  Photos of animals such as Spotted Deer's, Elephants, Monkeys, Bisons and many other small creatures.

Better be there well before time. Tickets are limited. Roads are good enough to travel. Way to our journey we had a splendid view of several animals and birds which gives a best space for photography. The road is a bit long which takes time.

after noon we reached Irpu  Water Falls and we spend 2 hrs there, after that we reached Nagarhole National Park, and we rate it as one of the best forests. The place has the highest density of tigers. A fabulous place to spot tigers and leopards. A best place to see a plenty of elephants, tigers and leopards. We cannot prefer rainy season for safari.

It was cold rainy evening. when we were riding through the Nagarhole National Park sanctuary, we found a leopard sitting on the top of the Tree, we were very excited and started taking photos. It was our lifetime achievement to see such a dangerous wild animal sitting calm and posing to our camera. That moment  was really special for us. then we went back to our rooms.

4th day early morning we started @ 07:30am our safari  to Tholpetty wild life sanctuary, it was not really a good safari, we were expecting to see some Tigers, Leopards but we couldn't find and we left to Thirunelly Temple. after we reached there we got a call form our guide Mr. Irshad, they found a Tiger in same place in their second safari , it made us unhappy and we completed our trip and returned back to Trivandrum. on the way, we were heading towards Kattikulam  in our car from Thirunelly Temple, we saw a Tusker on road side. it was a dangerous one and we took photos of that one within fraction of a second before he was charging towards us.

We had a wonderful trip never before. we are still in the pleasure and planning to go again and again.
